Abu Bakr Ahmed bin Ali bin Thabet bin Ahmed bin Mahdi al-Baghdadi, known as al-Khatib: one of the preserved historians.
He was fluent in dialect, knowing literature, saying poetry, and fond of reading and writing. Sapphire mentioned the names of 56 books of his works, among the best of which are
